Morality Rock Lyrics

In my opinion, one of the great joys of listening to Morality Rock (or anything played backwards for that matter) is trying to figure out what's being said, or what the subliminal backwards artist (SBA, i.e. Me) believes is being said.

SBA's of the 70's and 80's, most of whom were fundamentalist preachers and conservativce politicians, had no respect for the perceptual freedom of their audience. They tended to introduce backwards sound bytes with prefaces such as "You are about to hear Robert Plan saying I love Satan. Again, that's I love Satan."

When I released Morality Rock, I didn't particularly want to go that route. I preferred allowing my listeners the full freedom of coming up with their own interpretations. Just because I think it's clear as a sunny day that Bush is saying "Satan" or "fuck" doesn't mean that others will share this perception. That's why in the liner notes of the Morality Rock CD, you will find no lyrics.

That said, shortly after the release of Morality Rock, I was bombarded by lyrics requests. Everybody wanted to know "What is Bush saying?" and many weren't satisfied with my reply: "What do you think he's saying?"
